SkillAbout isn't one trainer with one syllabus. We're the roundabout — you come in, tell us where your team needs to get to, and we route you to the HRD Corp trainer who actually specialises in it.
Six specialisms. One place to start.
Most companies pick a trainer because someone forwarded a brochure. We start from the other end — the outcome you need — and work backwards to the person best placed to deliver it.
Tell us the gap: a team that can't brief an agency, managers avoiding hard conversations, a department that hasn't touched AI. No need to name a course title.
We shortlist from our partner trainers by specialism, industry background and delivery style — then tell you honestly if none of them is the right fit.
We handle the proposal, the HRD Corp documentation and the scheduling. You get one point of contact instead of five trainers in your inbox.
You get a shortlist with reasoning attached, not a catalogue. If your budget is better spent on a different topic entirely, we'll say so — a badly matched course is worse than no course, because it burns both the levy and the team's goodwill.
Tell Us Your Gap→If you're an HRD Corp trainer with real depth in one of our six specialisms, we handle student recruitment, client matching and coordination — so you spend your time delivering instead of chasing leads.
Partner With Us→Every path is covered by trainers who work in that field — not generalists reading someone else's slides. Programmes run half-day, full-day or as a multi-session journey.
Turn marketing spend into measurable pipeline. Platform-current, built for teams who have to execute — not just strategise.
Two sides of the same shift: AI that clears the admin load, and AI that speeds up how your team produces content.
Strengthen the operating layer — the systems, decisions and disciplines that determine whether growth actually holds.
Performance is a health outcome. Evidence-informed sessions that reduce burnout risk and support a workforce that can sustain the pace.
Experiential sessions with a debrief that connects back to work. Designed around a specific team problem — not just a day out of the office.
The jump from doing the work to leading the people who do it. Built for supervisors, new managers and senior leaders alike.
That's the most common way people arrive. Describe the problem in plain language and we'll work out which specialism it actually belongs to — sometimes it's two, and the programme gets blended.
Describe My Situation→Classrooms with laptops open, people mid-exercise, company trips and team building days. No stock photography — these are our own programmes, run for real companies.

Training changes what people know. Coaching changes what they are still doing three months later. Available alongside any programme on any of the six paths — not a separate course, but the part that makes the course stick.

Delivered online or on site, on a schedule that fits your team.
Most training ends when the trainer packs up. Every SkillAbout programme comes with the things that decide whether any of it survives contact with the actual job.
Questions never arrive during the session — they arrive three weeks later, at 9pm, when someone is stuck. Participants can reach the trainer for three months after the course ends.
An official certificate for every participant who completes the programme — useful for your HR records, appraisals and HRD Corp documentation.
A physical workbook, not a slide deck emailed afterwards. Exercises, key steps and space to write — something that stays on the desk instead of in a downloads folder.
Employers registered with HRD Corp contribute a monthly levy based on payroll. That fund exists to be reinvested into upskilling your people — but only if you claim it.
We work with HRD Corp trainers and structure programmes to fit the claimable framework, then support your HR team through the application — so paperwork never becomes the reason training gets postponed again.
Claim eligibility, levy rates and grant rules are set by HRD Corp and may change. We confirm current requirements with you before submission.

Most independent trainers lose more time to business development than to teaching. SkillAbout takes that side on — recruiting learners, matching them to the right trainer, and handling the client relationship end to end.
Neither, exactly. SkillAbout is the roundabout in between. We don't deliver every course ourselves — we work with a network of HRD Corp trainers, each strong in one specialism, and our job is to route each client to the right one. You deal with us; the trainer focuses on the room.
Ask us for the specific quotation and we'll be transparent about how it's structured. What you're buying is the matching and the coordination — a shortlist chosen on fit rather than on who happened to email you, plus one point of contact for proposal, scheduling and claim documentation.
We structure programmes to fit the HRD Corp claimable framework and provide the course outline, trainer profile, quotation and post-training documentation your HR team needs. Final approval always rests with HRD Corp, and the grant application must be approved before training begins. We confirm current requirements with you during scoping.
Three filters: depth in the specific specialism, relevant industry background, and delivery style against your team's seniority and appetite. We give you the reasoning with the shortlist so you can disagree with it — and if none of our trainers is right for the brief, we'll tell you rather than force a match.
In-house programmes typically run from 5 participants upward. For smaller teams we can combine departments, run a shortened format, or place your staff into a public session alongside other companies.
It depends on the programme and, if you're claiming, on HRD Corp approval — the grant application usually takes longer than preparing the content. Tell us your target date at the scoping call and we'll tell you honestly whether it's achievable.
Send us your specialism, HRD Corp standing, a sample outline and any recent participant feedback through the enquiry form — select "I'm a trainer" as your enquiry type. We'll set up a call and, where it makes sense, sit in on a session before we start putting clients in front of you.
Send a short brief and we'll come back with a trainer shortlist, proposed outline and quotation — formatted so your HR team can take it straight into a grant application.
